Merry Christmas..

Merry Christmas...

So, I was meant to post this yesterday...
Every year these are by far my favourite nail design!
They always make me jolly, and are very noticeable,
so normally get commented on!

I still don't have my camera so again these are taken using my phone!
Which I am now getting used to!

Hope you had a lovely Christmas!
Hopefully will post the tutorial later tonight!

Red and White

Red and White

I was inspired by one of my Christmas jumpers for this design!

Its such a bright jumper, I love it!
Unfortunately I didn't leave myself much time to do this design,
so ended up being a bit rushed..

Hope you're having a lovely Christmas eve!
Tutorials coming soon

Feeling festive!

Feeling Festive!

Its Christmas eve!
I have a few nails paints coming tonight, and some tutorial!

Hope you're all getting excited for tomorrow!

I decided for the design to cover some of the
other things I think made Christmas that I haven't already!

So I painted a postbox and robin, Turkey an sprouts,
Santa, a wreath and Rudolf!

Santa Nails!

Santa Nails

I painted my housemate's nails,

however I totally forgot to photograph them!
She took some pictures for me though, phew!

We decided to go with Father Christmas,
as we were going on our last night out of the year we thought
we'd dress up!

She was Santa and I was Rudolf and my other friend was festive!

Candy canes

Candy canes

I painted these right at the start of December, but only
took two pictures and they weren't great...

I kept telling myself I would redo them, but haven't gotten around to it!
I really liked the design, so posting anyway!

Holly

Holly
Painted my Nan's nails today.
Seems like forever since I last saw her!

We kept it simple but festive with little holly eaves and berries.

I have also filmed a couple of tutorials that I am
attempting to sort out!
Unfortunately I have not got my camera with me,
so everything recently has had to be taken on my phone!

4 days till Christmas!

Christmas Nails

Christmas Nails

I've got round to painting festive nails!
Finished all my assignments for the year, so just looking forward to
Christmas and revision...

The only idea I had for this manicure was
candy canes, so I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out!

Been wearing plenty of Christmas jumpers
and decorated my uni house with my house mates,
love this time of year!

Hope you're all getting in the festive spirit!

Pink, black and white stripes

Pinkblacand whitstripes

I haven't painted anyone else's nails for such a long time!
But I went home recently and caught up with my best friend!
We chatted, drank wine, and of course nail painted!

We decided one the base colour before the design,
and got inspiration from a nail art book someone sent me!

Pretty happy with how they came out,
it was nice to be painting someone else's nails for once!

Birthdays

Birthdays

November was a very busy birthday month!
Lots of celebrating and merriment!
As my last post was fairly serious and not at all cheery,
thought I would lighten the mood!

I did a really simple design, but it made me feel cheery!

I thought I would keep this post short and sweet!
Christmas nails coming soon!

Phoenix

Phoenix Nails

As some of you may know, at the end of October there was an
electrical fire at my university house.
Me and my house mates are all OK, (although shaken and stressed).
It was a complete accident and no ones fault (Which is very relieving!)
We were moved into emergency accommodation for 2 weeks,
it was one of the most stressful experiences in my life.
Moving our stuff back and fourth between accommodation, and trying to
sort out what was going on, took all of our time.
If we weren't in lectures we were busy sorting something house or fire related.
I don't think I've ever truly understood what being busy was!
We are all back in our house now, and have most of our time back,
there are of course still things being sorted, but its manageable!

I decided to paint phoenix nails, as I wanted to explain why just after
getting back into the swing of blogging, I left again!
And I think the idea of a phoenix ties in really well with our situation.
The fire definitely changed all of us, but I think for the better!
(Although we are now some of the most cautious people on the planet!)
I believe it has given us a different outlook on things in a largely positive way.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my house mates!

From sleeping on their sofa, to storing food in the freezer!
It was massively appreciated!
My family were amazing and helped support us as much as they could.

Thank you

This has been a very wordy post for me!
Hope I haven't waffled on too much!

Its now officially December,
so get ready for some Christmas nails and cheerier posts!

Liverpool Match

Liverpool Match

On Thursday night I went to my first ever Liverpool match!

My boyfriend is a massive fan
(who also blogs at leachatuni.blogspot.co.uk),
and so for his birthday I managed to get him 2 tickets
to see Liverpool vs Bordeaux and he took me!

The atmosphere was incredible and I have never experienced
anything like it before!
I had a really good time, and enjoyed it much more than I thought I would!

So I decided as I haven't blogged in a while
(which I will talk about in my next post)
I would attempt to do some Liverpool FC themed nails!
It's been far far too long since I have blogged!
And am again struggling to work out how to take a good picture!

Frankenstein drops

Frankenstein drops

I did these nails a little while ago and kept meaning to
post them! But I like to keep all my Halloween nails together!
So waited until now!
I have done a few blood dripping nails and things,
so thought I'd change it up a bit.

Purples and greens always make me think of Frankenstein around Halloween!

The pointed nails also add more of a sinister feel to them.
I'm still trying to decide what to dress up as for Halloween this year!
Many more spooky manicures to come...

Carnage

Carnage

At my university, like most around the UK there are big nights out called Carnage.
Its the standard buy a t-shirt that gives you entry to lots of clubs in a town centre.
This years carnage was animal themed.
From my experience people do not usually stick to the theme,
however me and my friends thought animals was a fairy easy theme to
look good, but not have to go all out for!

I went as a leopard, and my house mate went as a deer.

I of course painted my nails to match!
I kept it really simple, with just one accent nail, mostly due
to lack of time!

We all had an amazing night!
And I thought our animal themed make up and accessories looked
brilliant!

P.'s. My lovely housemate dressed as the deer
also has a blog if you like to have a look its
http://preciselyriley95.blogspot.co.uk
She writes about.uni, fashion, beauty and life
In general!

Birthday!

Birthday!
My birthday was over a week ago now,
but as I have said many times, it's been very busy back at uni!I decided this year to paint my nails based on the different pieces of wrapping paper I received!

I had a really lovely birthday, my house mates decorated the house
with banners and balloons!
They even got party hats for our outing that evening!

All the wrapping paper was beautiful, but I tried to pick
patterns I could attempt and that I loved and thought went
well together!

Thank you to everyone who wished me Happy birthday, and those who celebrated with me!

Incredibles

Incredibles
I am finally back and settled at uni!
The first few weeks are normally massively hectic and this year was no exception!

As my birthday always fall in freshers week it gets very busy very quickly.

I have been painting my nails a little in my new house,
we did a couple of nights in freshers week and a birthday night out!
My birthday post will be going up soon!

Lots of university nights out are themed, one of this years themes was
cartoon characters, now me and some friends decided to go as a group costume,
it was very loosely fitting to the theme... we went as...

The incredibles!
(If you hadn't already guessed from the title..)
I went as violet, although we didn't really stick to individual characters.
But I of course painted my nails to match!

I kept it really simple, mostly as we only decided on our costumes the day of the event.

I just used the incredibles symbol and a red glitter fade!
We had an amazing night, really enjoying second year so far!
Many more posts to follow!

My First Video!

My First Video

So I recently posted some Harry Potter nails which I
decided to film!
For my video I think it came out fairly well,
however I had some trouble uploading it here, so I have also created a
YouTube channel!

Hopefully more videos to come!
I admit I am a massive YouTube amateur, and didn't
think about audio.. so my video is silent.
I'll get the hang of it soon... hopefully!

Harry Potter Studios

Harry Potter Studios

On Tuesday I went to the Harry Potter studios in London.
It was amazing, and I had an incredible time!

I painted my nails the day that we went, but never had a chance to photograph it.

I have done Harry Potter nails in the past, which you can see here
so attempted some that were different.

Red and Gold

Red and Gold

I painted these a while ago, but never got around to posting them!
I had wanted to do a swirly more intricate design, but ran
a little short on time!

The colours work really well together, wish I'd had a little more time for the design!

Starting to get ready to go back to uni! So a hectic couple of weeks coming up!
