Castle Break

Castle Break

Have been super busy revising for exams, so there are no nail paints in this post! Just an update, more nail paints in posts to follow!

On the 8-10th July two of my and I will be travelling around the UK,
raising money and awareness for St John Ambulance. We will be dropped off at a mystery castle somewhere in mainland UK and then have 36 hours to collect points by completing various picture
challenges and then get back to our regional headquarters in Birmingham!

Our challenges include taking a pictures in front of things such as;
10 Greggs stores, the front door of 10 downing street, with the angel of the north, with a town cryer and on the top of the London eye!

Another part of the challenge is to complete all these tasks and get around the UK purely by the kindness of others!
Asking people to support a charity who supports so many others!

I have learnt so much through becoming a first aider for St John, and am excited (and nervous) for this challenge!

We have set up a just giving page
http://www.justgiving.com/Castle-Break

JustGiving - Sponsor me now!
To get an idea of what the money you donate could go towards

£6 could pay for 100 pocket first aid guides
£20 could pay for half an hour of first aid training
(Long enough to learn how to properly dress a wound and prevent infection)
£80 could pay for someone to attend a half day first aid course
and learn the skills to be the difference between life and death in a range of emergency situations

Any donation would be massively appreciated!

If you find it easier, you can donate through sending a text!
Just text CBKL87 followed by the amount you would like to donate (e.g. £3) to 70070

And if you unable to donate, we would greatly appreciate that
if you spot us out and about you come ans say hello, offer us a lift and/or give us some food!

Thank you

We also have a twitter if you want updates on our progress!

Becoming a First Aider

Becoming a First Aider

In October I decided to join my university's St John Ambulance LINKS unit.
I then began learning the skills and took my exam to become a fully fledged
First Aider in February.

I have really enjoyed becoming part of an amazing organisation,
who have taught me life saving skills and so much more.

I have met some incredible people, both within my unit and on training courses
and duties.

It gives me an enormous sense of pride to put on my uniform and be part
of an organisation and charity who help thousands every year!

Easter holidays!

Easter holidays!

So it has been forever since I last blogged!
A lot has been going on, and I haven't had all that much time to paint my nails!
I have had 3 weeks away from uni to catch up with friends family and work...
although as always not as much work as needed got done...

Since christmas I attempted to edit the video of me painting my nails, but my laptop
decided it didn't want to co-operate and destroyed the file!

I do really want to film a tutorial, so hopefully will work out a better way to do it!

But for the mean time here are some nails I painted for Easter,
with many more updates to come!
