Today's manicure is inspired by my pillow!

I love the pattern!
I'm seriously running out of white polish though!!

Love how it came out!

And as per my cat felt the need to get involved!

At the dinner party I talked about in a previous post, 

I also painted my friend Becky's nails!

We decided to do Easter themed nails,
and used spring colours as the backgrounds!

You can't really see the Easter eggs on the middle finger! 

Really pleased with them, 

and it's always nice to paint someone else's nails!

Kimono inspired nails!

Last night me my sister and our friends 

Jenny and Becky had a dinner party!

And of course ended up painting nails!

 

My sisters friend bought her a Kimono inspired wine bottle cosy, 

so I painted Jenny's nails based on that!

I'm really pleased with how they came out!

Was lovely painting someone else's nails for a change!

Had a lovely evening, although we all ate far too much!

I went to boots and got some Magnetic nail polish!

It's from the number 17 range!

Boots are currently doing a 3 for 2 on all make up!
So I managed to get this free!

Glitter Fade

Glitter Fade

Sorry I haven't posted for a while!
I did these nails before a night out, 

I decided to keep it fairly simple and classic with colours.

  

I'm really pleased with how it came out!

It's really simple to do, and so effective!

I then added a layer of gold glitter!

It made it more yellow, but oh so sparkly!

I have been considering doing a tutorial, what do you think?

I wanted something fairly plain and simple, 

and came up with this!

It was quick and easy, and i really like it!

It's another Barry M base colour, 

and a number 17 for the squares!

St Patrick's day!

St Patrick's day!

I know it was yesterday, but silly me forgot to upload this!

Now my favourite colour is green! So I really enjoyed doing this one!

I didn't realise just how many green polishes I had!

Hope you all had a lovely St Patrick's day!

Red nose Day!!

Today is Red nose day!

which helps poor and vulnerable people in both the UK and Africa.

Fruit!

Fruit!

I'm feeling under the weather! So decided to paint my nails.

I was lost for ideas (headache didn't help..) and my lovely sister suggested fruit!

They are (from left to right)
an apple, bananas, a kiwi, strawberries and an orange.

By the the time I got the orange I was half asleep, 

but it still looks fairly orange like so I have left it!

Also, i have started a Facebook page!

Animal Print!

Animal print!

I painted different animal prints on my nails today!

I've done animal print nails a few times, 

but I've never blogged them!

From left to right they are...

Scales (Was going for fish, but my mum and sister thought snake!),
Zebra print, Leopard print, Tiger print and

Giraffe print!

Really pleased with how they turned out!

Happy Mothers day!

This is my favourite photo of me and my mum!

We took it on holiday in Greece.

I painted my nails based on the jumper we

bought my mum for Christmas!

However maybe not the best choice to put the bright pink 

on my cuticles... 

Mum often wears vibrant colours.
So I thought sherbetty spring colours were perfect!

They looked a little plain, so I added a simple accent nail!

International Women's Day

International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day!
I painted my nails the colours of IWD which are green, purple and white!

The purple hasn't really shown up very well!

I used IWD symbols, my favourite is the index finger!

 Its a fairly basic and simple design!

My sisters Blog launch!

My sisters Blog launch!

Today my sister has launched her blog!
It is www.eyesofathenadotcom.wordpress.com

So I decided to paint my nails around her blog! :)

My sisters blog is all about books!

Hence my book themed nails.

 The owl on my thumb is there as her blog name is eyes of Athena,
and Athena's symbol is an owl.

At the bottom I asked my sister to summarise her blog in a few sentences.

Feathers!

 Feathers!

Last week my friend showed me some feather nails! 

Well, I just had to have a go!

I bought the feathers from hobby craft.

My first attempt utterly failed.
I had stuck the feather to the nail and the finger next to it,

and then moved my finger pulling the feather off!

I'm happy with how it turned out eventually.

But it took some practice, and lots of top coat!
